Mild pelvic pain and very frequent urination... What could it be?

The past week I have been getting lower back pain and mild pelvic pressure that comes and goes but as of this morning, I have been peeing and peeing and peeing. I drank maybe 2 bottles of water and pee'd like 10 times and I just went 10 minutes ago and feel like I have to go again! And yes, I know go to a doctor, I have no insurance, I am waiting on paper work. I never had this frequent urination ever or this pelvic pain. it feels very strange. My pee is clear and does not smell, no blood either. I am late. I guess I am asking.. Could this be caused by pregnancy? At most I would be 5 weeks.

Sounds like a bladder infection to me. What I do as soon as I suspect a bladder infection is to drink lots of cranberry juice. You can also purchase cranberry pills in a health food store. If caught early enough you won't need antibiotics. If you suspect you're pregnant purchase a pregnancy kit.

I am late, however. I don't have stinky urine or dark urine. I am going to have my husband get a few tests and some cranberry juice. I had UTI's in the past but I know what they feel like and its not this!

Urinary tract infection is what it sounds to me. This can be caused by frequent sex.

I'm in a cookie. lol I am normally not regular, but I am late. My husband and I just got married so we started having sex a month ago and he changed condom brands once which may cause an infection so I really don't know if its bacteria or baby!

It really does sound like a Urinary tract infection due to your activity and the symptoms. Drink plenty of Cranberry juice. Let us know please?  smile If you are preggers?

I took a test and it was negative. I began drinking cranberry juice and more water. The frequent peeing has stopped but I still have some pain and keep getting sick to my stomach.

You probably need antibiotics since it is an infection.

I just need to give my body what it needs smile and I think its from the brand of condoms my husband and I tried. Never used Durex before and I remember it feeling very uncomfortable.

Very possibly could be a reaction to the condoms? But they are all made out of latex?

Yes but the lubrication is different. We normally use Trojan condoms.

Frequent urination is a symptom of pregnancy that usually starts at the 5-6 week mark, so that sounds like a possibility. The absence of blood, discharge, odd color, smell, fever, etc. would seem to make the chances of infection less likely (hopefully anyway). Only other thing I could suggest is a bladder inflammation (Interstitial Cystitis). It can include symptoms of pain and frequent urination, but with the missed period, pregnancy sounds more likely.

Some of the symptoms sound like it could be pregnancy, but not the peeing so frequently. Instead, it sounds like you can have a UTI.

It sounds like a urinary tract infection. An antibiotic will clear it up, but you can also use more natural methods - like a lot of hydration and cranberry juice and avoid eating yeast products. But really, when it's uncomfortable and if you don't abuse antibiotics, I'd go that route just to be done with hit. It can get worse and turn into kidney issues or yeast infections that repeat, and nobody wants that. In the meantime, drink a lot of water, keep clean, wipe front to back, and avoid bread and sugar.

Because of no insurance, it is worth it to consult a pharmacist and/or google natural remedies. Urgent Care places, however, would not charge you too outrageously.

Also, how late are you? I have been up to 7 days late and not pregnant. Change in diet, birth control, or exercise can affect your cycle also.

I'm having my husband get cranberry juice, but I've had UTI's before, I don't have the burning or any blood. And I am 10 to 12 days late/

I too think its a urinary tract infection and drinking a lot of cranberry juice and water will definitely give you relief. There are also cranberry pills that you can buy if you don't like the juice. It's made by Azo I think.

In reference to pregnancy....the "pain" you are feeling...is it a twitching or tugging pain? Is it similar to menstrual cramps? I think you have a desire to be pregnant and are reaching for symptoms here. The symptoms you are explaning seem like they could be almost anything. A bladder infection, on the verge of getting your period or pregnant. The urinating more then usual symptom associated with pregnancy in my experience happens much later (due to the pressure being put on the baldder).

I know that when I was desperate to become pregnant I noticed EVERY sinlge twitch, tug, pull to the point of obsession. Good luck hopefully it's a pregnancy (if that's your wish) if not start chugging the cranberry juice. Let us know if a congradulations is in order!

Any chance it could be kidney stones? I never had them before but the pain seems to come and go in waves. Has anyone ever had them? I know my brother has but women don't experience the same sensations as men, usually men are in way more pain. I just the lower pelvic pain and lower back pain. It seems like drinking a lot helps and avoiding sugar helps. I also use heat. If I change my position, I will have less pain as well.

It is almost 100% sure that this is some kind of an infection, or maybe you caught a cold down there while sitting on a cold bench or something even if you did not notice - used to happen to me quite frequently during the uni years.
Try visiting a gynecologist and hopefully they will advise you to take medicines like Walurinal (Walmark Urinal) or Urogin (I don't know if these are available in your country of residence, but these are the best medicines I am aware of).
    Walurinal: http://www.medcentrum.com/shop.php?acti … ct_id=7488
    Urogin: http://www.sinnex.hu/index.php?viscode= … amp;cikk=4

    I hope I could help!

It could be many things but is most likely connected to either your bladder, kidney, or urinary tract. Usually, urinary tract infections are painful. If there is not a burning sensation to pee, then it may not be a UTI. Usually if you have an infection, you will have a fever- even a mild one at first.

As far as the cranberry juice, you should buy concentrated cranberry without any sugar. Sugar will make any infection worse. You should stay away from eating any sugary foods and from refined carbs (white breads, white rice, etc.). If you can't stomach drinking this (dilute it with some water to drink it), you can use the pills.

You can buy pregnancy tests online for much cheaper so that you won't feel bad about using one and spending so much on it. You can get 20 tests for like $16 or so. They aren't fancy tests, but they give accurate results.

It can be endometriosis. This starts with menstrual flow that was blocked and endometrium flowed back and got stuck in the cul de sac due to tight or unsufficient cervix opening due to stress. The hormone that controls menstruation also controls it, meaning the cause of pain owing to MS also causes pain in endometriosis mainly on the pelvic area. Endometriosis can graduate to cancer if macrophages attack the microbe that may cause infection of the endometriosis. Macrophages shoot it with free radicals that also hit healthy cells that result in mutations in DNA then tumor then cancer.

by MS I meant PMS. Hormone-like thromboxane and prostacylcin (eicosanoids) have to do with it . Thromboxane makes the cervix light, prostacyclin dilates cervix. Noni juice helps open cervix. Open Internet and you find several brands of noni juice.

    http://ii3rittles.hubpages.com/question … uld-it-be#
    Hey sweetie,
Did you ever get your question answered? Are you still having issues? I just found your question and after reading it I wanted to scream. I can not believe all the bad health information that is still circulating out there! So having worked in the healthcare field for 30 years and in maternal child health for 28 of those years I'd like to share with you some information from school and work.
First if it is a UTI there are some classic symptoms-frequency, urgency, pain.
Frequency is self explanatory you're urinating all the time only when you go you only pee a little. That's because inflammed bladder tissue can't handle the acidity of urine and so it wants it out as soon as possible, that's also the reason for the urgency. imagine red swollen raw inflammed damaged tissue with acid sitting on it. Yeah oww! The pain is from that as well as burning as the urine passes through the urethera. My client's (patients) frequently referred to it as "pissing razor blades" graphic and accurate. The bladder spasms are the feeling that I have to pee now even though I just did. THE ONLY treatment is antibiotics and sometimes an antispasmodic like pyridium which you can get over the counter. I don't recommend treating the pain until someone has seen you and made sure you don't have a UTI because they can go on to become kidney infections or worse. Most women feel crummy like they're coming down with something but aren't always febrile.

There is also something called honeymoon cystitis, usually seen by newlyweds and can be caused by frequent sex, that can get a little rough, or dry, or if your hormone's are off (like your low in estrogen). The treatment can be anything from slowing down using a good lubricant (not KY) avoiding the flavored or edible stuff until it goes away, (that includes all the specialty lubricants) and talking to your OB-GYN to see if your hormones are off. That can happen when your progesterone picks up and your estrogen drops off. like at certain times of your cycle or in very early stages of pregnancy. Although changes in hormones are not definitive signs of pregnancy.

There is a very slim chance it's endometeriosis but almost every woman I've met that has had that knows they have it. Check out my hub I'm not done!

      ii3rittles,
Several months have passed. I am interested to know if you are pregnant. I know of an OB GYN who was afflicted with endometriosis herself. She couldn't cure herself  with drugs, she took noni juice as I recommended and got cured.

I wasn't pregnant. I believe it was my nerves. I have been taken maca root & drinking raspberry leaf tea and haven't had that issue since.

Both noni and raspberry are antioxidants, they relieve pain and stress. They enhance prostacyclin which relaxes the cervix. and allow the flow of sloughed off endometrium.

If there is no pain during urination and urine is clear, you may be pregnant. Mild pelvic pain akin to cramping fits that scenario. I'd suggest a home-pregnancy kit from the pharmacy. I hope it's good news for you two since you've been practicing birth control!

    1. profile image52
Imanihopeposted 11 years agoin reply to this

That's true what you're referring to is called "nidation"( forgive me I misspelled) it is the cramping that occurs after conception at the time of implantation frequently it's accompanied by a small amount of blood that can look like a short period.

  16. Neinahpets profile image83
    Neinahpetsposted 11 years ago

It could be pregnancy, yes.  However, there are many other things that could be the culprit.  UTI, bladder infections, ulcer, etc...  the only sure way you will know is to see a doctor.  If you're super impatient grab a pregnancy kit -- a few tips though on using it:  Either wait 4 hours between your last pee and your pregnancy test so there is a good build up of urine in your bladder, or take it first thing in the morning when the pregnancy hormone would be at it's highest in your urine as you've gone all night with a full bladder.

    Good luck!

try buko juice smile this water is called coconut water or coconut juice. In our country, buko juice is one of the refreshing pregnancy drinks.

buko juice use as an oral rehydration fluid for people, especially children, who are suffering from diarrhea or loose bowel movement, studies have shown that the high potassium and low sodium content of buko juice makes it unsuitable as oral rehydration mixture. Hence, people with diarrhea should avail of the oral rehydration solutions that are readily available at all health centers of the Department of Health and drugstores instead of resorting to buko juice.

I do not want to make light of your pain, but go to the doctor. All the well meaning people on Hub Pages, even though with some Medical training cannot make an accurate diagnosis without an examination and a complete medical history. Maybe you do not have insurance or maybe you are afraid of what the doctor tells you. I understand both concerns.I worked in a neighborhood pharmacy in high school. Have given myself allergy shots and blood thinner shots. I have wrapped twisted ankles, dressed wounds, etc, all after seeing a doctor.

Urinary tract infection may be correct, but they could be something else. Go see your doctor.
