Maca Root And What It Can Do For YOU!

Updated on April 27, 2013

Many people never think that health "issues" can be caused by malnutrition. When in fact, I will go as far as saying, 95% of all sickness and disease is caused by malnutrition. Not giving our bodies what they need causes them to not work properly. Levels are thrown off such as blood pressure, intestinal bacteria, blood count, hormones and so on. A big deficiency that is being linked to hormone imbalances as well as cancer & even diabetes is Vitamin D. Please read "Can Lack of Sun Be Making You Sick?" for more information on vitamin D deficiencies.

I have gone through quite a bit of problems myself and while I speak with God and pray, something seems to be saying "I am not taking care of myself". I have began to research natural remedies and ALL of the ones I've tried have helped me in one way or another. Wheat Germ is also amazing & cheap for assisting the body to regulate hormones, for more on that read "Wheat Germ & Female Hormones". A new one I came across is Maca Root. It is a nutty vegetable found in Peru. It has historical benefits as well as modern day benefits. While with everything, no two bodies will agree with the same things. So these results will vary but there is a HIGH success rate in people who have used Maca Root powder, pills or the vegetable its self. Here are some benefits people experience...

- menopause relief

- regulated hormone levels

- acne reduction

- pain relief of joints (EVEN arthritis pain!)

- muscle growth

- increased libido or sex drive (in men & women)

- better hair, skin and nail condition

- lower blood pressure

- weight loss

- increased energy

- increased stamina (which means its EASIER to excersise!)

- regulated body temperature (no more hot flashes, no more chills!)

- normal periods

- relief from PMS

- decreased mood swings

- increases chances of pregnancy

There are more but I will just list the above. I have never tried it but will be ordering some in capsule form and will post what happens with me. I will take it 2 weeks before I post my results. I have unbalanced hormones which is why I am intrigued to try this out. Many people who suffer from unbalanced hormones have libido issues, weight gain and loss problems, and so on. Women in particular will gain weight easily, have abnormal menstrual cycles, PMS, mood swings, depression, have trouble getting pregnant, have little to no libido or sex drive, and hair loss. Those are the most common but they can very from person to person.

*If you have tried Maca Root (of any kind) I would love to hear your results! Leave your results below in a comment.

*Update*

I have been using Maca Root capsules for over a year now. They have helped with my hormones, neck pain, & even my anxiety & panic attacks! When I do manage to stick to a workout routine, the weight just falls off. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an alternative way to balance their hormones & relieve their anxiety & stress. I use the NOW brand as I trust it more than other brands.
